What the weakening of the major countries (France, UK) will change
The world
is reconfiguring itself, Europe as well. And to us the first feature seems to
be the significant weakening of two of the three of Europe’s structuring powers
these last 20 years: England and France, knowing that the third, Germany, is in
turn is seeing its influence on Europe weakened by the reduction of that of the
other two. Both countries only exist by virtue of the influence which they have
on Europe. But England has tripped over the carpet of its own Euroscepticism
and the government finds itself overwhelmed on its right by the UKIP which is
invading its own corridors of power and public opinion, pushing the country
towards an EU exit...
