2014/01/30 LEAP/E2020 Press Review on the Global Systemic Crisis. Libertad, Igualdad, Pluralidad. News-Notícies-notícias

GEAB excerpt - Up or down ? The oil era
This is a powerful anticipation from our team for 2014: contrary to the impression given currently, we are living the last hours of the oil era and that will begin to become clear in 2014. And the trigger for this shift is the Chinese government’s decision to power its automobiles by electricity. Given the size of the fleet, the impact that this decision will have for electric vehicles in the world in terms of innovative capacity and lower prices, the 33% of vehicles representing global oil consumption will be severely trimmed, and very quickly: we anticipate that within five years the trend will have become unstoppable and that in 10 years petrol/diesel vehicles will compare to electric vehicles as the Cuban Cadillacs currently compare to modern cars. This turning point is, of course, a catastrophe for the whole of the oil industry… and automobile if the latter doesn’t decisively convert to the new religion (electric or other alternative mode). A catastrophe for the Dollar of course, supported by this raw material since 1975.

GEAB N°81 is available! 2014 –World political chaos, statistical « smog », risk that the financial planet explodes… But solutions for the future continue to emerge
One danger is the statistical “smog” (2) which will probably characterise the year: first, the US economic and financial indices have lost any sense of direction by dint of being manipulated in order to hide the catastrophic reality; and second, the emerging world’s tools of statistical transparency aren’t sufficiently reliable to properly throw light on the reality. A collapse of visibility ongoing for several years on the one hand, the beginning of an organised transparency which the world economy needs to plan strategies on the other, in 2014 we are on statistical understanding’s trough of the wave. And that won’t be without its consequences.

Oil: A risky investment ? (Recommendation)
Oil companies and oil producing countries will face a tough 2014. Oil extraction has become more and more expensive. The shale gas industry is financed with a huge amount of debt, part of which is off balance sheet. For example, shale gas companies use VPP’s (Volumetric Production Payments) to mislead their investors. VPP’s are payments that are structured payments on future oil and gas deliveries. In a VPP contract an investor in an oil or gas company receives a given amount of the oil of gas produced during a fixed period of time.102 In accounting terms a VPP is treated as a non-operating asset, similar to a royalty payment. Oil extracting companies will face serious problems due to...
